I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Health Services Research and Policy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where I am also a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Surgery.
My research sits at the intersection of health economics, health policy, and gerontology, and asks a common question across settings: how do health policies and the structure of the delivery system shape access, quality, and financial protection for vulnerable populations? I pursue this through two converging lines of work: one on long-term and post-acute care policy for aging populations, and one on equity in surgical and acute care, using quasi-experimental designs and large administrative datasets to evaluate the policies and interventions that matter most for underserved groups.
This work has produced more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in JAMA Surgery, The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific, Social Science & Medicine, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, and The American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.
